The Mission Style Platform Bed Frame is a part of the very popular mission style furniture range.
According to Wikipedia this was first launched late in the 1800s. Mind you "launch" is probably not what they did in those days. It was named by Jose McHugh and was so called because it was first found in the Spanish missions in California.

You have a choice of leaving it in its natural wood coloring which is very attractive or you can paint it if you want to blend it in with white bedroom furniture or to match it to any other decor. This means that it is very flexible and, in fact, can easily be changed if you feel that you want a bedroom makeover.
There is plenty of space, not only on top of the bed but underneath as well where there is a full 10 1/2 inches which you will find useful for storing a lot of those things that you cannot find a home for anywhere else.
When you fit on the mattress it just sits on top of the frame as there is no recessed area for it to drop into. The bed is 15 inches off the ground before the mattress goes on.
What is included?
You will receive two boxes which include the pieces which are easy to assemble. They are all made in the U.S.A. of southern yellow pine wood. A special tool is needed to put it all together but that comes in one of the boxes. There is no mattress or bedding included with it.
